I think I'm about 5'6 1/2"-ish. I'm the tallest one in my family except for my dad. We're all short in my family (and we're Swedish and Dutch, so that doesn't really make sense).
You're still growing, aren't you?
And yeah. *shrug* How long ago did your family come over though? I mean if the heights have changed that much in that many years it's probably more about other things then just genetics. I don't know, seems like it anyway.
wow, that's shorter than i would have thought. makes me feel like a beast of a woman!! =P
I'm curious to know the corresponding average heights for females now...
Me too. I don't have them though. :(
Geez!!! I figured you were tall, but not that tall!
That sounds a little short. Hmmmm. So where are all the shorter men that balance out all of the tall men in my life?
Oh I know a bunch of each. I think that it's about right when I average it all together, just from the guys in my life.
I'm average for a guy, but I'm a girl :)
I'm short for either.
that cant be right. dutch people are way taller than that. im 5ft11 and that would be mostly average if not slighty below here from what i see
It seemed a little short for me too, when I add together what I remember from last time I went around Europe. I saved this from one of my recent facts books. *shrug* Dunno.
OOh! Thanks for the ladies info, I was wondering. I'm below average in all places. lol. Oh well.
And could be. I'm always looking up. lol. I only know a couple people who have reached puberty that are shorter then me. lol. Oh well.
I'm 5'9", and here I was thinking I'm on the small side. i guess it's because I always end up around people who are six foot or taller
Well, according to these stats, you're tall. :)
most of the men in my life are 6'2 or above.
i'm 5'9, but i'm a girl :)
6'2", a good 6 inches above "average". I guess I'm tallish.
The lizard freak out was hilarious. I especially loved it when he fell over.
Wow! That's awesome. Not me. I'm on the completely other side of the spectrum.
LOL, I laughed so hard.
You're tall too! Man. I feel so short reading everyones comments. lol
Well I coulda guessed that. *wink*
LOL!!! Freakin' fantastic! I will definitely be sharing this here. Thank you!!

So...the 5 foot snake didn't phase him...
but the "leaping lizard" did.
And I *did* laugh when the guy fell over. Shame on me. ;)
Our iguana could leap pretty far, now that I think about it. He could move for a big boy.

Re: So...the 5 foot snake didn't phase him...
LOL. It's hysterical.
I giggled too.
I'm 6'2, and my boy is 6'5. I still get to wear heels, yes!
Wow!! You guys are super tall! That's awesome.
Woohoo! Someone my height!
I'm 6'6". I think I blew by the 'average' mark when I was in 6th grade.
Daaaamn! I hope you play basketball. Cause seriously!
Well of course you're above average darlin'. ;)
Genetics are weird.
My husband is 6ft and his dad was 5ft 5'. My parents are average. I am 5ft 5 but my son in 6ft 5' and my daughter is 5ft 9'.
I put it down to better nutrition these days...
Probably part of it. *nod* I worry about all the processed stuff in foods though. Little girls are starting puberty sooo much younger.
Well above. 5'10 and three quarters.
Three quarters of a MILE, that is.
But seriously, I am 5 feet and 10.75 inches. Take that, Sweden and the Dutch!
lol, you totally kicked their asses. ;)
