OOoh. Now, see.. that's creepy. Childrens tv show that it states was banned from tv. I couldn't even get through it. I'm tired, and it's just.. too weird.

Let me know if you think I should devote some time to watch that when it's not the middle of the night? ;)
Oh, and:

Both the novel and film of The Exorcist were based on reports of an actual exorcism performed on a 14-year-old boy in Maryland in 1949, the last official case of exorcism in the United States.

I read that as a teenager. It was pretty creepy, although it's a girl in the book.

I haven't seen that film yet. It looks kinda freaky.

And I don't know. I think there are supernatural forces. I've seen ghosts.

Last official case, maybe, but I definitely know someone who had an exorcism performed on him to remove the "gay demons" that were possessing him. Needless to say, it didn't work. Damn, those gay demons sure are hard to get out.

Wow, that was pretty freaking surreal. I liked it. Nice and creepy in that makes your head hurt a little sort of way. I seriously doubt it was intended for children, though. Claymation, like animation, does not necessarily denote a junior audience. You know, like "South Park."

Although if it was a kids TV show...damn...yeah...not for the little ones, that's for sure.

I remember reading about that case in Maryland. If I recall correctly, one of the possible theories for explaining the circumstances was that the boy was either having an affair or in love with his aunt who moved away or died suddenly (can't remember which) and his grief and anger caused bizarre symptoms. Or something like that. It's been a while since I read up on that.

Yeah, I like to think it wasn't meant for children. lol. No way in hell is my kid watching that.

And ooh. Interesting. I want to read more.

That was very creepy, especially if it was directed towards children. The claymation didn't bother me as much(it was actually kind of cool-except for the mask, which freaked me out) as that voice. That voice was downright spooky!

First of all, I hate claymation - I think it's downright creepy anyway. Second of all, there's no fucking way that should ever end up a children's story. FUCKING creepy! Glad I didn't watch it during night. x0

(Sorry I'm not reading all the comments to see whether I'm repeating anything.)

I say you should watch the rest of it.  I'd watch the whole show or movie, if it were available.

It seems a strange allegory simultaneously criticizing the Christian God, Satan, and ‘Godless’ science.

Thanks for pointing it out to us.

I think I might actually remember that...

lol, As soon as I saw the entry and what it was about, I flashbacked to putting this as one of my favorites on YouTube a few months ago. Funny thing is that it doesn't scare younger kids. A few little kids I know watched it and walked away cheerful as ever, whereas I've heard reports from a few teachers I know saw this that they have bad nightmares about it. Interesting, ne?

I don't know if it was actually banned from TV or not. The IMDB forum on this movie makes it seem that a lot of children watched it...so, I don't know. I didn't research that hard on it though.

It's seriously creepy & strange though.

My friend's dad went to Dartmouth, where several interior shots of The Exorcist was filmed. They filmed it in a studio with no windows and had large amounts of locks on the door to prevent their stuff from being stolen. When the producer opened the door the next morning, it was still locked but all the camera lenses were shattered and the film reel was exposed.
Now that's pretty creepy.

wow.that's actually pretty full on and creepy, a lot more than I'm expecting.

Kinda similar in that it's A) aimed at children and b) pretty fucking frightening is this

it's from an old Dr Seuss film, and there's something alittle bit wrong about it.

Hope you don't mind me posting. You can blame Ken if you do.
