One of my biggest-yet-achievable dreams is to ride in a hot air balloon. Preferably over something exciting, like the rockies or France or some such. But still; hot air balloons.
OOh! That would be awesome! Very Oz'sh of you. ;) Any idea of when you'll suceed in this goal?
I have not left the island in... 3 years? And I fantasize about being a folk singer.
Any particular reason why you haven't left? Just no wish too?
And that's awesome. What instruments do you play? do you write your own songs?
Fact # 1... I'm really a natural blond... like almost platinum.
Fact # 2... I've been in 3 indie movies...in 2 of them I played myself.
1. Ooh! Do you ever let it go back to your original color?
And 2. Rock on! Are you hiding on IMDB somewhere? ;)
LOL!!!! Well, I had my suspicions. ;)
*hugs* My health stuff didn't start until I was 19 but it hasn't shown any signs of clearing up so I can relate to a certain degree. *hugs* I'm sorry darlin'. I know how it wears on a person.
the only heavy food i really enjoy eating is french fries. fruits and veggies are way better than pastas and potatoes and cakes.
Is it bad that I like all of the above? ;) Including the fruits and veggies. hehe
1. When I was 5, my mom bought a dude ranch... so I had 50 or more horses and ponies to play with, stagecoaches, sleighs and haywagons to play in... I loved it. Too bad I had/have severe allergies to horses and hay.
2. My favorite song to sing at karaoke is "Add it Up" by the Violent Femmes.
That's so freaking COOL! Oh man, if I had my own stage coach I would have been the happiest kid/adult in the world. LOL. ;) Freakin' rock on! Bummer about the allergies though.
And rock on. ;)
I have Factor VIII Hemophillia, a genetic bleeding disorder which keeps my blood from properly clotting after an injury. As a result, I have never really gotten into anything close to contact sports or martial arts. Strangely enough, however, I did earn a Bronze Medal in fencing when I was in Junior High.
OOh! So you have to be really careful! That's awesome about the fencing, I really want to learn. I have a couple friends who are sisters that did some fencing when they were young, so when my kid gets a bit older they're going to give him their gear to use, so I figure I'll take classes with him, because really.. what a useful art. hehe. ;) Everyone should know how to play with swords!
Do you have to wear a medical alert bracelet?
The other friedns you have are so interesting-- hotair balloons and dude ranches, but here goes:
I have always slept with a stuffed animal-- Pooh, Tigger, and a Piglet doll that I have had for almost 15 years. When I got a divorce, my ex-husband tried to take him from me, so we had to put that in our divorce agreement that I could keep my Piglet. Crazy, I know, but we both loved it. I nearing 35 and I sleep with a stuffed animal.
I have also never had a beer. Not one. I am not much of a drinker, but beer has never appealed to me because of the hops-type smell.
i can't believe your husband tried to take your Piglet!!
-i'm and actor who HATES to read Shakespeare. I like to perform and see it, but i HATE reading it, and the only plays I've ever read are the ones i was required to in high school. (dont tell my shakespeare acting teacher. woops). Oh, and Othello - which actually was an enjoyable read.
-i had an A in my Volcanoes/Geology class, until I missed the final exam because I thought it was the next day - I barely passed with a D but kept my scholarship for the next year. The second science class I took? Astronomy. I also got a D. On a curve. But that was because I only went twice a week on a 4 times a week summer class schedule because the teacher was a tool and it was at 8 AM.
all school talk! i think it's cause tonight i'm investigating/applying for my alma mater's MLIS (masters in library information studies) and its all i can think about! yay!
- I love Shakespeare. My guess is that if you enjoyed Othello outside of the classroom setting you might enjoy others. Which Shakespeare plays did you read in class? Some classes can suck the joy out of beautiful pieces of work, and conversely can add to it too, depending on the class, to be sure. And the teacher, and classmates. i've been really fortunate and have had amazing Shakespeare classes.
And oh dear! *hugs* Yikes! The Professor won't let you make it up then? :(
And woot! exciting!!! =)
I <3 all things Yoda.
And that fall...OMG...but that's what you get for using a watering can as a purse. Of COURSE it's gonna throw you off balance. :)
Yoda ROCKS! YAY STAR WARS GEEKS UNITE!!! =)
And LOL, right!?! I LOVE that it splashes water. That makes me giggle so much.
I'm commenting from the bathroom stall at work wishing I could play hooky today. Betcha didn't know that! LOL anyways...
Let's see.... I eat my spaghetti with the sauce on the side cuz I don't like them touching for some reason. And I like dressing up like different types of people, like a custume ball just for me. I also suck at bowling, but that's ok cuz I can draw. :)
LOL! Rock on!! I would totally bring my laptop into the bathroom at work if I didn't know I'd get fired at that job for bringing a computer to work. Alas. I was lucky to have my ipod. ;)
I'm the opposite! I can't draw at all, but I'm surprisingly a pretty good bowler. Especially if I've had a drink or two. don't ask me how that works.. I don't know. ;)
And I'm weird about food too. I want my plate to be aesthetically pleasing, like I'll move food to get the color palate I prefer... I'm bizarre.
And I looove costume balls!
OK here's a random question for you. You're probably going to be like... wtf?
Did You Ever Used To Type Like This? With All Capital Letters Like A Title Of A Book But Even Capitalizing The Small Words?
Yes, actually. ;) I still let some slip in on occasion. How'd you guess that? Are you really my third grade teacher who tried to break me of it? hehe.
I've only recently come to terms with the fact that I am intensely competitive and ambitious. I feel much lighter having accepted this instead of trying to be a saint.
I can only fall asleep on my stomach, face down on the pillow.
Nothing wrong with that. I think ambition's a wonderful thing, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. :) Gives people something to strive for.
And I'm similar. It's not necessarily that position but I have to shift position at least 4 times before I can fall asleep. the only time this isn't the case is if I'm spooning. Then I can fall asleep right away.
My mother made me eat cow tongue last night. O_o
Uggggh!!! what did it taste like?
i like oversizes things because they make me feel small.
and i have a birthmark on my boob -_-
Are you really tall?
And ooh! What kinda birthmark? I have one on the back of my thigh, it's kinda crescent shaped.
I love organisation. I am not a neat person by anyone's standards, but I love to organise things. Even if they get messy not two hours later (ok, well, at home, like my desk or closet. At work? You mess up my shit I come keel you).
I'm very similar. A messy person overall, but my dvd's are always alphabetized, and my clothes are neatly folded, and closet organized.
Right you are!! I didn't know any of this! :) Well, besides the birthday thing, hehe, in which I was a party.
I love your article! Just fascinating!!!
I race my car. It's called autocrossing
. It's fully legal, and pretty safe.
That's SO cool! Prior to this I had never even heard of this!! Do you love it? :)
I was born on May 18th, 1980 the same day Mt. Saint Helens erupted.
I hate capital letters - and usually type with lower case. Not such a great idea for English class. I'm also a horrific speller.
Wow! Nowhere near the eruption I hope! Does your Mom give you a hard time? ;)
And interesting! Can you place why you hate capitol letters, or just one of those quirky things?
I think it's harder to declare bankruptcy then it used to be. I also think that it's criminal how much it costs to get a college education in this country. :(

yes, I own maps, a GPS and know how to use 'em - BUT
I know celestial navigation, I’ve crossed the Atlantic singlehanded in a sailboat three times, I have a ‘long-range-rating’ to fly jets and yet – with my Jeep - I am still getting lost in some lousy-culv-a-sac-one-entrance-no-exit-million-side-streets-neighbourhoods –

Re: yes, I own maps, a GPS and know how to use 'em - BUT
That's AMAZING!!! I can't even imagine crossing the Atlantic in a sailboat, much less by myself! Have you ever been in any dangerous situations while crssing it?
And what does a long-range-rating mean?
And lol! I get lost just about everywhere. I'm pretty good in a mall though. And a mall parking lot. ;)
Hee, this is like confessions not-so anonymous! :P
I sometimes eat my pizza by peeling off the toppings and cheese and eating it separately from the base. (Strange, I know but I only seem to do this when I'm really hungry and craving pizza.)
I have 18 pairs of glasses! :P (Plus numerous daily contact lenses.)
Hehe, I love it! I love learning more about you guys. :)
Interesting! Sounds like when I eat pizza with my vegan friends. haha. ;)
And WOW! That's a lot of glasses! Are they all in good shape? I have two pairs but they reeeally are bad. They're like barely staying on my face anymore. I mainly wear my contacts.
I have never been properly drunk, I have never seen 'Titanic' cos I know it has a sad ending...I walked out of 'Lord of the Rings' because it was too scary and went to watch 'The Princess Diaries' instead!
Being drnk can be fun, but I think its' a little overrated. :)
And aww. *hugs* titanic makes me cry every time, even after all these years, but I loooove Lord Of The Rings.
And I've never seen the first Princess Diaries, but loved the second one. I'll have to seek it out. I really like Anne Hathoway.
I love reading. I've read tons of science fiction and a lot of fantasy. Actually, I've just read tons of books - loads of everything except crime and romance, which I've only read a bit of. My brother is an author and consequently reads a lot himself, but claims that he only reads at a fraction of the rate I read at, and thus cannot possibly keep up. Needless to say, I've read all his books several times. When I come across one of those "100 books Strike out the titles you've read, bold the ones on your list and italicize the ones you gave up on"-memes I'm always slightly appalled at how many I'd just have to strike - it's a good thing they're still writing new books every year or I might run out of things to read! ;P
Also - I'm not sure that I am on your f-list actually, but you've been leaving comments in my journal lately, so... hi! :)
