A pretty awesome Indian music video. They've got awesome moves. ;)
I know what I'm gonna dance like next time I go to the club. It will get lots of attention. hehe.

And if my sources are correct, The Bible, the worlds most popular book... also happens to be the most shoplifted.

I don't know about you, but I don't think I've got the balls to steal a Bible.

Your story is one that reminds me of why I'm so repulsed by religion.

Those who are the loudest in proclaiming themselves as righteous are the ones most hypocritical.

You always hear that old saying about WWJD. I doubt the Jesus we've all been told about would harbor a grudge and keep bringing up an innocent mistake. I also doubt he'd have freaked out about it in the first place. And I'm sure he would have accepted the apology for the misunderstanding right away.

There's a huge difference between stealing and an honest misunderstanding.

In my opinion, the only difference between a religion and a cult is that one has money and the other doesn't.

That being said, I have no issue with religion when it's used as a shield. It's when religion is used as a sword that I have objections.

Religion can be used for such negative things, and has been often in the past, and present, and will be in the future.

There are definitely positive uses, and reasons for it too though, and I don't think that the positive impacts of religion should be ignored.

Both sides to every dirty penny. :)

This music video has a great deal of chair dance potential (we make up chair dances at work on slower days).

To me, the only difference between the Bible and any other collection of fairy tales is that people use it to justify their hatred and bigotry.

It's just a book.

But that's just me.

I think it's a book that has a lot of good potential, and has been used for this by many people over time.

Unfortunately the negative effects, have been far more vast and recognizable when people use it for evil, violence, or dominion. :(

one time, in art class last summer, our assignment was to do a symbol of someone. instead of telling the characteristics of the person, show it through items. anyway, i decided to do me when i was 16 years old. to make a long story short, it involved tearing out pages of the bible to line the inside of a shoe box that on the outside looked very heretic-al-like. i don't care much for the bible in the first place, but everyone at my table said i had balls.

lol.

maybe. i wouldn't ever steal a bible though. it wouldn't be worth it.

maybe they count the bibles stolen from hotel rooms?

nope, i used to have a few gideon friends, the only bibles they want you to take are the orange ones they pass out to you at school and on the side of the road and such. they have the bibles in hotel rooms for people to read and leave for the next guest.

maybe.

 i used one of those hotel bibles when me and my boyfriend were in dispute about something in the bible.

i think that is what they are for.

LOL! Nice. Specifically for those fights? ;)

I could have sworn I was at a hotel once and in the first page there was a little typed up note( like from a typewriter even, I think) saying that if you didn't have a Bible, or if this particular Bible was something you needed to help you in your life and your path to Jesus to take it.

That was like a 70's hotel in Chicago that hadn't been redecorated.. since the 70's.. s o maybe it iwas just a Bible from back then, and some group that was giving out Bibles. Dunno!

I think if you're going to steal a book, stealing a bible is probably the smart choice. That way you'll have all the information on how to get forgiveness for your filthy, sinner crimes right there in front of you.
