And (suppoooooooosedly) The same chemicals that give tart cherries their color may relieve pain better then aspirin and ibuprofen in humans. Eating about 20 tart cherries a day can reduce inflammatory pain and headaches.
I'm gonna try it. :)
are tart cherries the realllly red ones?
and wooo first!
The bright, vivid red ones that come in jars of liquid and are put on icecream are maraschino cherries. I would imagine that the 'tart' ones are the darker ones, usually sold fresh in produce departments and markets with their stems still in them.
that's what i thought at first, but i've noticed the really dark ones tend to be sweeter to taste (whereas i find maraschino cherries sort of sour)
*shudder* I hate Maraschino cherries.
I thought they were like daaark. Like burgundy?
I don't know if you've seen it yet...but on youtube, look up "evolution of dance"...I absolutely love that movie...

Oh yeah. Good ones, both. :) I think they've been posted here at one time or another. Very awesome though. :)
